MIAMI’S TOP BANDS & ARTISTS GATHER TO SHINE AT ‘UNBREAK ART BASEL 2008’

Local urban art mecca Alt Space Gallery,
and musical acts Outereach, Artoffical and The Jean Marie
headline a homegrown Miami arts showcase during Art Basel week

WHAT: With a goal of showcasing Miami’s top live bands and visual artists, UNBREAK presents an exciting lineup for its second annual Art Basel event on Saturday, December 6, 2008 at PS-14 in downtown Miami.

Following last year’s buzzworthy event, Unbreak Art Basel ‘08 will feature Miami’s premier urban art gallery, Alt Space, with a special visual arts presentation from its talented roster of artists known as The Hustle Collective. The event will also highlight the city’s diverse, blossoming music scene with live performances from top bands including epic rockers Outereach, the dynamic hip-hop/jazz sextet Artofficial, and garage pop from The Jean Marie to name a few.

The event kicks off at 3pm with an exclusive revealing of the custom-built patio gallery with works by Alex Yanes, Ross Ford, FiftyThree, NF Romero and more (RSVP recommended). Doors open at 9pm for the indoor gallery and live music showcase.

Founded by Outereach, UNBREAK began as a monthly art showcase for up-and-coming artists in downtown Miami, and has since become one of the city’s premier platforms for a community of rising art stars. Outereach is proud to join forces with Coconut Grove’s Alt Space Gallery in hosting this event, which coincides with Miami’s famed international Art Basel Fair (December 4-7).
