Tenderpixel Gallery is proud to present Richard Clements: New Work, an exhibition from the London-based artist.
Clements’ artistic methodology is one of inclusive skepticism, concurrently presenting and retracting sculptural propositions inherent with the work itself and in reference to an external associative horizon. His focus on materiality; their interrelatedness, interchangeability, and historically, attempt to evoke an awereness of the structures perceived relevancy within a presented nexus. This approach adopts physics concept of rheology (the study of the flow and deformation of matter), applying it to the nature of the structure of thought: it sees rational cognition as a precarious and limiting system, but with aqueous possibility.
Born in London, England in 1983. Clements received an MFA from Goldsmiths College in 2007 and lives and works in London. Since graduating he has participated in shows locally and internationally.
