Portraiture is one of the longest enduring art forms and today takes many different shapes from very different approaches, from traditional paintings through to modern photography and with this exhibition we hope to explore the myriad of methods which make PORTRAITS such an exciting and diverse genre the world over. With artists from Russia, Italy, Australia, the US to London and Wiltshire in the UK. From fashion style illustrative pieces by Anna Zoria, to nostalgic black and white photographs by Claire Newman-Williams titling back to the traditional in juxtaposition to the edgy statement photographic pieces by Scott Weingarten, and the soft floating images of David Griffiths, we traverse the range of contemporary styles in the art of portraiture.
You are warmly invited to join the exhibiting artists for a drink at the opening night of at The Brick Lane Gallery from 6pm-8.30pm on Wednesday 23rd July 2014.
