Submission deadline: 5 August
Entry is open to artists residing in the U.S. Scale and perspective are pervasive issues in the realm of fine art photography. This year's photography competition seeks experimental woks using the photographic medium that challenges our ideas of relative scale and perspective, as well as integrated use of other media in unique and creative ways. Epic panoramic, pinhole and photogram, photo-transfers, 3D photographic sculpture or objects, installation, high speed, time-lapse and frozen-in-time images, as well as infrared and HDR photography, are just some of the means photographers may use to create dynamic works using the photographic medium. Analog and digital photographs are both eligible and may be used with any other medium. All photographs must be the original work of the photographer entering the competition.
Note: the Gallery has a 22ft extended ceiling with mounts that may be accessed for installation. Digital enhancements should be noted in the materials section of the on-line application. Fine art photography images should emphasize unique composition, pattern, shape, and color/contrast. Works may not exceed 48" width and 60" height including frame. Artists wanting to submit an installation may discuss size and other installation specifications with the Gallery Director.
