Anis Khan sees Art as a language used to pass on an experience, impression and emotion which is only pure when its free from judgment or intellectual interpretations. He has committed himself to abstract expressionism in its pure sense in a way that any figuration, conceptualization, emphasis on technique or style and representation is considered being unfaithful to the spirit of discovery and a compromise to the picture that should come directly from the soul to be a complete body of pure feelings, in a language of its own. Woojung Son creates artworks based on three main elements, inviting us to imagine, have a dream and be free. She wants to make her own imaginary space and create stories and build her own kingdom through her work. She also wants to find her own nature through her work and she wants to communicate with people. Her hope is that people can freely imagine, as they did in their childhood, through her work. She invites everyone who dares to imagine. Enjoy “Children In Wonderland” You’ve got an open invitation.
You are warmly welcome to join us for a drink with the artists at the opening night of CONTEMPORARY PAINTING at The Brick Lane Gallery open from 6pm-8.30pm on Wednesday 17th February 2016.
